How to Switch Between Website Projects

This article shows you how to switch between different website projects inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. If you have more than one website project on your account you can switch between them without logging out. What is a Website Project Each website you subscribe to is set up as its own website project. Every website project has its own separate pages, content, settings, and billing. Switching between website projects lets you manage all of your websites from the same login without needing separate accounts. Any changes you make will only apply to the website project you are currently in and will not affect your other website projects. Always make sure you are in the correct website project before making any changes to your content, settings, or billing. Frequently Asked Questions Q1: I cannot see a switch icon next to my website project name. What does this mean? A: If you only have one website project on your account the switch option will not be available. The switcher only appears when your account has more than one website project. Q2: Will switching website projects log me out? A: No. Switching website projects does not log you out. You stay logged in and simply move between your different website projects. Q3: Can I have different team members on different website projects? A: Yes. Each website project has its own team members and access settings. Adding a team member to one website project does not give them access to your other website projects.

This is the tab you will use most often. Click directly into any text field to update it and click on any image to replace it. When you are finished click Save Changes to make your updates live immediately. Configure Blocks The Configure Blocks tab is where you manage the structure of your page. Each page is made up of blocks and each block is made up of rows, columns, and elements. From this tab you can reorder blocks, insert new blocks, duplicate blocks, delete blocks, and manage the individual elements inside each block. This is an advanced tab used for restructuring your page layout. Meta Tags The Meta Tags tab is where you manage how your page appears to search engines and on social media. It has three sub tabs. The Search Engine sub tab is where you set your Meta Title and Meta Description which control how your page appears in Google search results. The Structured Data sub tab is where you configure schema markup to help search engines better understand your page. The Open Graph sub tab is where you set the title, description, and image that appears when your page is shared on social media platforms like Facebook. Scripts The Scripts tab is where you add custom scripts to this specific page. It has two fields. Head Scripts are injected into the head section of the page and are used for analytics tracking codes and meta scripts that need to load before the page content. Body Scripts are injected at the end of the body section and are used for tracking pixels and chat widgets that load after the page content. Scripts added here only apply to this specific page. To add scripts across your entire website use Site Scripts under Site Management. Analytics The Analytics tab shows you how your page is performing with real visitor data. You can see Page Views, Unique Users, Active Users, and Engagement Rate over the last 30 days. Below that you will see a View Trends chart showing your page views over time, a Devices breakdown showing what devices your visitors are using, a Top Countries breakdown showing where your visitors are coming from, and a Top Referrers list showing which sources are sending visitors to your page. Lighthouse The Lighthouse tab shows you a performance report for your page across four key areas — Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO. Each area is given a score out of 100. You can view scores separately for Desktop and Mobile. Below the scores you will see a detailed audit list showing individual checks with a Pass, Partial, or Fail status. To run a fresh Lighthouse report click the Deploy button in the top right corner of the page. Notes The Notes tab is a shared space where you and your team can leave internal notes about this page. Notes are only visible inside your dashboard and are never shown to your customers. To add a new note click Create Note. Notes are grouped by team member and can be searched and filtered. This is useful for leaving reminders or instructions for your team about specific pages. Activity Log The Activity Log tab shows a full history of all actions that have been taken on this page. Each entry in the log shows the Date, Subject, Event, Description, and the Causer — the team member who performed the action. The Activity Log is read only and cannot be edited. It is useful for tracking what changes have been made to a page and by whom. Important Note You will find these tabs on every page inside your dashboard. Not all tabs require action from you every time you edit a page. The Content tab is your everyday editing tool. The Meta Tags tab should be completed for every page. The remaining tabs are used as needed depending on what you are trying to achieve. Frequently Asked Questions Q1: Do I need to use all the tabs on every page?
