This article shows you how to switch between different website projects inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. If you have more than one website project on your account you can switch between them without logging out.
What is a Website Project
Each website you subscribe to is set up as its own website project. Every website project has its own separate pages, content, settings, and billing. Switching between website projects lets you manage all of your websites from the same login without needing separate accounts.
How to Switch Between Website Projects
Step 1 — Log in to your Appropriate Websites dashboard at studio.appropriatewebsites.com.au
Step 2 — Look at the top left corner of the left hand menu. You will see your current website project name displayed there
Step 3 — Click the switch icon next to your current website project name
Step 4 — A list of all website projects on your account will appear
Step 5 — Click the website project you want to switch to
Step 6 — Your dashboard will reload showing the content, pages, and settings for the website project you selected
Important Things to Know
Each website project is completely separate. Switching to a different website project means you are now managing that specific website. Any changes you make will only apply to the website project you are currently in and will not affect your other website projects.
Always make sure you are in the correct website project before making any changes to your content, settings, or billing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: I cannot see a switch icon next to my website project name. What does this mean?
A: If you only have one website project on your account the switch option will not be available. The switcher only appears when your account has more than one website project.
Q2: Will switching website projects log me out?
A: No. Switching website projects does not log you out. You stay logged in and simply move between your different website projects.
Q3: Can I have different team members on different website projects?
A: Yes. Each website project has its own team members and access settings. Adding a team member to one website project does not give them access to your other website projects.
