How to View Your Teams

This article shows you where to find and view all the teams inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. Step 1: Log in to your Appropriate Websites dashboard at studio.appropriatewebsites.com.au Step 2: Click Team Management in the left hand menu Step 3: Your teams list will appear showing all teams on your website project What You Can See on the Teams List Each team in your list shows the team name, a brief description below it, the slug, and the number of users currently attached to that team. On the right side of each team row you will see an Edit button. Frequently Asked Questions What is a slug? A slug is a short identifier for your team used internally by the system. It is automatically generated when you create a team and you do not need to change it. Can I search for a specific team? Yes. On the teams list there is a search bar in the top right corner. Type the team name to find it quickly.

How to Create a New Team

This article shows you how to create a new team inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. How to Create a New Team Step 1: Log in to your Appropriate Websites dashboard at studio.appropriatewebsites.com.au Step 2: Click Team Management in the left hand menu Step 3: Click New Team in the top right corner Step 4: Enter a name for your team Step 5: The slug will be automatically generated based on the team name Step 6: Enter a description for your team if needed Step 7: Click Create Step 8: Your new team is now created and will appear in your teams list What Happens Next Once your team is created you can start adding users to it. How to Add a Team Member Once your team is created you can start adding members to it straight away. Step 1: Find your newly created team in the teams list and click Edit Step 2: Scroll down to the Users section Step 3: Click Attach in the top right corner of the Users section Step 4: An Attach User popup will appear Step 5: In the user field type the name or email address of the person you want to add Step 6: The Team Role is set to Member by default Step 7: Click Attach to add the user to the team Step 8: If you want to add another user straight away click Attach and attach another instead Step 9: The user will now appear in the Users list for that team Important Note Only the person who created the team is the team owner. The team owner is the only person who can attach new members to the team or detach existing members from it. Team members with the Member role cannot add or remove other users from the team. Frequently Asked Questions Q1: Can I change the team name after creating it? A: Yes. Click Edit on the team and update the name in the Name field then click Save Changes. Q2: How many teams can I create? A: There is no limit to the number of teams you can create on your website project. Q3: The user I am trying to add is not appearing in the search. What do I do? A: The user needs to already have an account on your Appropriate Websites website project before they can be attached to a team. If they do not have an account yet contact support at [email protected] for help adding them. Q4: Can I add the same user to more than one team? A: Yes. A user can be attached to multiple teams on the same website project.

How to Edit a Team

This article shows you how to edit an existing team and how to delete a team you no longer need inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. How to Edit a Team Step 1: Log in to your Appropriate Websites dashboard at studio.appropriatewebsites.com.au Step 2: Click Team Management in the left hand menu Step 3: Find the team you want to edit and click Edit Step 4: Update the team name or description as needed Step 5: Click Save Changes Important Note Only the team owner can delete a team. Deleting a team permanently removes it and cannot be undone. Make sure you no longer need the team before deleting it. Deleting a team does not delete the user accounts of the members inside it. All users remain on your website project and can be attached to other teams. Frequently Asked Questions Q1: Can I rename my team? A: Yes. Click Edit on the team, update the name in the Name field, and click Save Changes. Q2: Can I delete my team? No. Teams cannot be deleted by clients. When your subscription ends Appropriate Websites will automatically remove your team and website.

How to Add a Website to a Team

This article shows you how to add a website to a team inside your Appropriate Websites dashboard. You can add multiple websites under one team or create a separate team to keep websites isolated from each other. How Teams and Websites Work Together When you subscribe to a website Appropriate Websites automatically creates a team for you and your website is managed under that team. As a team owner you can add more websites to the same team or create a new team if you want to keep a website separate. How to Add a Website to a Team Step 1: Log in to your Appropriate Websites dashboard at studio.appropriatewebsites.com.au Step 2: Click Website Management in the left hand menu Step 3: Click Add Website Step 4: A list of your available teams will appear Step 5: Select the team you want to add the website to Step 6: Complete the website setup steps Step 7: Your new website is now added to the selected team How to Keep Websites Separate Using Teams If you want to keep a website completely separate from your other websites you can create a new team first and then add the website to that team. Step 1: Click Team Management in the left hand menu Step 2: Click New Team and complete the team setup Step 3: Once the team is created go to Website Management Step 4: Click Add Website Step 5: Select your newly created team from the list Step 6: Complete the website setup Step 7: Your website is now isolated under its own separate team Important Note Only the team owner can add websites to a team. If you are a member of a team but not the owner you will not have the option to add websites to that team. Frequently Asked Questions Q1: Can I move a website from one team to another? A: There is no limit to the number of websites you can add to a single team. Q3: What happens to my websites when my subscription ends?
